    Blackjack Rules

Blackjack is one of the simplest casino games to learn how to play, and it’s also one of the quickest casino games to play which could be good or bad. Money is made and lost very quickly in this game so having a firm bankroll is important and you can’t get caught up in the losses when they happen. If things aren’t going your way on a given day in blackjack then it probably won’t change for that day and you should leave while trying to minimize your losses. Let’s now look at the simple black jack rules you’ll need to follow in order to play blackjack.

The first thing you need to do is make your bet which you simply put into the betting box in front of you. Make sure the chips are in one stack and that the chips go from highest value on the bottom to lowest value on top. Once everyone has made there bets around the table the dealer will begin to the left and deal out two cards face up to everyone with one of the dealer cards being face down though.

Starting with the player who got dealt the first card the dealer will ask whether you’d like to hit or stay. You may also have the option of doubling down or splitting pairs which we’ll look at later in this blackjack guide. Once everyone has finished making there plays the dealer will flip over his face down card to see what value his hand has. If it’s fewer than 17 then the dealer needs to hit there cards automatically until they’ve either reached 17 or 21 or anything in between. If you hit a natural blackjack which is an ace and any card with a value of ten then you automatically win the hand and get 1.5x your initial bet, meaning if you bet $20 you’d get that back plus $30 more.

The goal in blackjack is to beat the dealer only and you don’t need to be concerned about other player’s hands. You need to be closer to 21 then the dealer is without going over. If the dealer goes over 21 which is also known as a bust, you’ll automatically win the hand and the same goes for if you bust then the dealer automatically wins.

Generally you want at least 17 or higher before sticking because any lower then that is too low in blackjack. If you have a 15 or 16 and you think that the dealer is going to bust then you could consider sticking and hope that the dealer busts.

Once the dealer’s hand is finished the dealer will go around the table paying everyone who won off and taking the chips from the players who lost the hand. After the dealer is done paying everyone off and taking the losers chips everyone will be aloud to place another bet in the betting box for the new hand. You continue doing this until you’re done playing or out of money.

Blackjack is an easy game to play and you can get assistance from other players at the table as well as the dealer. If you aren’t getting a bit of luck and hitting cards though then playing blackjack could turn into a real long day. There is luck in this game and you’ll need some of it to make money, but on a good day when the cards are hitting you could walk away with hundreds or even thousands in profit.
